Huami is a stray cat, and because of her beautiful floral coat, I named her "Huami." She would often appear at our doorstep, quietly waiting for us to give her some food, and gradually, she became a part of our lives.
However, we already had a dog named Toto, so I was hesitant about adopting Huami. After all, it takes time and patience for dogs and cats to get along. But no matter what, Huami's presence always brought warmth and little surprises to our lives.
For a while, Huami suddenly stopped showing up. We were very worried and began searching for her everywhere, but we couldn't find her. During that time, we were really anxious, even fearing something had happened to her. Then one day, Huami appeared again at our doorstep, and this time, we noticed her belly was noticeably round. We realized she might be pregnant.
We took Huami to the vet for a checkup, and sure enough, she was expecting. At that moment, we decided to adopt her and welcome her soon-to-be-born kittens. Although Toto had been the only "pet" in the house, he seemed to be very friendly toward Huami, as if he could sense the arrival of new life.
So, we began taking extra care of the pregnant Huami, giving her a quiet and comfortable place to rest. Recently, Huami gave birth to four adorable kittens, each of them healthy and cute, covered in soft fur, just like their mother, full of life.
Looking back, since the moment Huami first appeared at our doorstep, our lives have taken on a different color. Our family grew by four new members, and Toto gradually adjusted to the change, now sharing the responsibility of guarding our little home with Huami. Although we didn't initially plan to adopt her, looking back now, everything feels so natural and warm.
